Behind the Scenes: How Concrete Lifting Works
At B-Level, we understand that sinking or uneven concrete is frustrating for homeowners. Whether it’s cracked driveways, trip hazards on sidewalks, or lifted slabs caused by tree roots, these problems must be addressed quickly to maintain safety and curb appeal. But how does concrete lifting and leveling work?
In this blog, we’ll take you behind the scenes to walk you through the entire process—from your first phone call to the final repair—so you know exactly what to expect when you choose B-Level.
Step 1: The Homeowner Notices a Problem
Most homeowners first notice concrete issues when they see:
✔ Sinking or uneven slabs
✔ Visible cracks
✔ Raised edges causing trip hazards
✔ Slabs lifted by tree roots
When this happens, they call B-Level, and our office team collects their information to begin the process.
Step 2: On-Site Evaluation by Our Sales Manager
Once we have your information, our sales manager will stop by to visit your property. This typically happens within a few days of your initial call.
🔍 Inspect the problem areas
📝 Determine if concrete lifting is the best solution
📷 Take measurements and photos as needed
After gathering all the necessary details, we create a custom proposal for your repair.
Step 3: Proposal and Scheduling
Once our sales manager returns to the office, we:
📧 Email the proposal to the homeowner for review
📞 Homeowners can call us with any questions
If the homeowner decides to move forward, they:
✔ Call the office to place a deposit over the phone
✔ Electronically sign the proposal
✔ Get scheduled for the repair
Step 4: Scheduling & Pre-Work Communication
Once your job is on the schedule, we keep you updated!
📅 A week before your scheduled repair, our office calls to confirm the date.
🏡 Most homeowners don’t need to be home while we work, but if they do, we coordinate a convenient time.
Step 5: Concrete Lifting and Leveling Process
Our experienced technicians arrive on the scheduled date to complete the job, typically in just one day. The exception is if caulking is needed, which must be done separately when the concrete is completely dry.
Our process includes:
✅ Lifting and leveling the concrete using specialized materials
✅ Ensuring proper alignment and stability
✅ Cleaning up the work area so your property looks great
Step 6: Payment and Final Steps
Once the job is finished, we provide the homeowner with an invoice. Payment can be made:
💳 Over the phone with a credit card
📬 By mailing a check
And just like that—your concrete is safe, stable, and looking great again!
